ABOUT
I am a French-Brazilian artist and designer living and working in London.
Through mediums such as sculpture, installation, performance and painting, my practice tackles dirt-ridding, hyperclean Western culture and invites the viewer to reconsider natural body waste and cleaning rituals. Our understanding of the world relies a lot on dichotomies; we naturally judge, classify and discriminate. What stains, what is impure or corrupted causes visceral responses such as anxiety, fear, disgust and fascination. Strongly attached to this matter and rooted in personal experiences as well as societal observations, and history, my work seeks to challenge viewers to confront their innate responses to what is deemed clean or dirty. By focusing on themes of domesticity, intimacy, and the human body, my body of work serves as a reflection on the societal norms surrounding cleanliness and the human experience.
Artists I worked with include Sade English, Margarita Frančeska Ieva Loze, Sarah-Athina Nahas, Anna Blom, Rachel Lonsdale, Michal Adamczewski, Max Melvin and more. I am part of Conch Collective and Boneca Melucci.
