From personal experience

Flareo is a health tracking app concept that began from a personal need to better understand and document autoimmune flare-ups. Frustrated by existing health apps that felt overly clinical, overwhelming or heavily focused on fitness, I set out to design a calmer, more thoughtful experience that helps people recognise patterns, track symptoms and communicate them more clearly with healthcare professionals.

From product strategy and UX through to branding and interface design, I developed Flareo as a complete end-to-end concept. Every decision was guided by the belief that health tracking should feel reassuring rather than stressful, using an editorial-inspired visual language, intuitive interactions and a considered design system that avoids common wellness clichés.

The project is currently being prototyped and developed, allowing ideas to be tested and refined through an iterative design process.

Key responsibilities

  • Defined the product vision and user experience.

  • Designed the brand identity and visual language.

  • Created the user interface and design system.

  • Developed user journeys, wireframes and interactive prototypes.

  • Designed around real user needs informed by personal experience.

  • Collaborated with AI-assisted development tools to build and iterate the product.

Health tracking made easy

Flareo explores how thoughtful design can make health data feel more approachable and meaningful. Rather than overwhelming users with dashboards, notifications or gamification, the app focuses on clarity, reflection and context, creating a quieter experience that helps people understand their bodies over time.

Although still in development, the project demonstrates my approach to designing digital products from concept to prototype, combining product thinking, branding, UX and interface design into a single, cohesive experience.
