Interactive feature

I designed and built an interactive article for Nike x Runner’s World, creating a branded editorial experience that brought together Nike’s visual language and Runner’s World’s tone of voice.

The feature combined 360° product views, animated moments, infographics and video integration to create a richer, scroll-led reading experience across responsive display units.

Responsibilities

• Developing the campaign's visual direction and moodboards
• Commissioning and briefing illustrator Rob Monk for three animated shorts
• Translating the creative concept across editorial design, motion, interactivity and video
• Ensuring a consistent visual language across the campaign

The Collaboration

As part of the creative pitch, I developed the visual direction for the campaign, creating a series of moodboards to define the overall look and feel. Drawing on Nike's product design archives and Runner's World's editorial style, I brought together technical references, archival imagery, bold typography, expressive grain and restrained colour to establish a visual language for the project. The aim was to capture the character of each shoe, from speed and responsiveness to support and cushioning, and use that as the foundation for the animation, storytelling and overall creative direction.

Working alongside the editor, and illustrator Rob Monk, I helped shape the creative direction from concept through to delivery, making sure the interactive article and accompanying short films felt cohesive from start to finish. The final piece combined Runner's World's editorial voice with Nike's campaign aesthetic to create an engaging digital experience across design, motion and interactivity.
