Good Housekeeping VIP
GH VIP Membership Direct Mail

Behind the Design
I designed a bespoke VIP direct mail piece for Good Housekeeping, created to welcome new members through a premium printed experience.
The deliverable took the form of a Maltese cross fold, requiring artwork to be designed across multiple interconnected panels while ensuring the content aligned perfectly once folded. Alongside the creative layout, the project demanded careful technical preparation to meet complex print production requirements, including cutter guides, fold positions and bleed specifications.
The aim was to create a printed piece that felt tactile, considered and reflective of the Good Housekeeping brand, balancing editorial design with production accuracy.
Key responsibilities
Designed the artwork for a bespoke Maltese cross folded mailer.
Created layouts that worked seamlessly across multiple folding panels.
Prepared artwork for commercial print production.
Managed cutter guides, fold lines and bleed requirements.
Collaborated with print suppliers to ensure production-ready artwork.

Beyond The Flat Page
Unlike a conventional leaflet or brochure, the Maltese cross format required every panel to work both independently and as part of the unfolded composition. The project combined editorial layout with precise print production, resulting in a premium direct mail piece that delivered an engaging unboxing experience while meeting demanding technical specifications.
