Crafting an Interactive Editorial Experience

Created an immersive parallax article for The Balvenie × Esquire, exploring the relationship between craftsmanship, creativity and emerging technologies through an editorial feature titled AI and the Future of Craft. The experience combined long-form storytelling with interactive design to encourage readers to explore the content at their own pace.

Working from supplied editorial copy and campaign assets, I designed the digital layouts, visual compositions and scrolling interactions that transformed the article into an engaging reading experience. Each section was carefully paced to balance rich editorial content with subtle motion, creating a premium experience that reflected both Esquire's editorial identity and The Balvenie's heritage of craftsmanship.

The design focused on creating a seamless narrative through layered imagery, typography and parallax effects, enhancing the story without distracting from the content itself.

Storytelling Helped Via Interaction

The final experience transformed a traditional editorial article into a rich digital feature, using parallax scrolling and considered visual pacing to reinforce the campaign's themes of craftsmanship and innovation. The result was an immersive reading experience that blended editorial design with interactive storytelling while maintaining the premium aesthetic associated with both The Balvenie and Esquire.
